Who Can Join SXFC?

SXFC was formed in early 2003 after the members of SEXC decided to changing the name to the Southeast Xterra Frontier club (since several members had switched to the Frontier, but wanted to remain part of the club). In Early October of 2004 the Board Of Directors voted to allow other Nissan off-road vehicles into the club, since all post-2005 models will be based on the same platform. So as a matter of extending our family to distant relatives, we offer membership to Titan, Pathfinder, and Armada owners.

How Much Does it Cost?

The annual dues are currently set at $20 (twenty dollars), which the BOD's considered a fair amount to justify spending. We sincerely hope it is not financially impossible for anyone wishing to join or renew. Also, the membership is per vehicle OR household (not individuals of the same immediate family). If you join after June 30th, we will prorate your dues at $1.66 per month ($20/12mo) between the month you officially join and May 31st of the next year. (If you qualify for prorating, you should contact the treasurer to verify your dues amount, if you are not contacted before the end of your trial period.) Sadly, we discussed many alternatives to this scenario, but it was decidedly more beneficial to have a dues system. Dues are to be paid by June 30 of each year (starting in 2004), for an entire year of membership (see below for more info).

What Does Membership Get Me?

Full access to member-only portions of our online forum.

Full membership status, including access to club events and gatherings.

A free club (SXFC) decal.

A free SXFC e-mail address with either 10MB of storage or as a forward to another address of your choosing (contact webmaster@sxfc.org if you wish to have this set up).

What Are The Requirements?

You must be 18 or older to join. (You may join under a parent's name, but you must be accompanied by a parent for all off-roading events.)¹

You acknowledge that SXFC, event organizers, and BOD members are not liable for any personal or vehicle damage you may incur during club outings.

You are responsible for you, your vehicle, your guests, and your behavior during club events. As a club member you represent more than just yourself.

You must own a Nissan Xterra OR Frontier (as the club name suggests, we accept both).

As of 2004, we will accept anyone owning a Nissan "truck". This includes the original Frontier, as well as Titan, Pathfinder, and Armada.²

You must live in the Southeastern United States (you can live elsewhere, but that's not going to do you much good when we meet for events).

You are allowed a thirty (30) day trial period, during which time you can interact in the club forum, and attend events to decide if the club is right for you.³

After your initial trial period, you will be required to pay the standard yearly club dues of $20.

If you do not wish to join, or fail to pay your dues after the trial period, your account will be terminated after that period.

SXFC By-Laws

Once removed from the forum roster, you will not be permitted to attend club events (as that just wouldn't be fair to those who paid their dues).⁴

¹ Again, this is just a liability thing, since we can't be held responsible for any personal or vehicle damage you may incur during club outings.
² Since all Nissan trucks & SUV's beyond 2005 are based on the same platform, we figured what the heck. No Murano's or jacked up Sentra's please.
³ Actually, the only exceptions to this rule are Oktoberfest and Spring/Fall Rally, which use a lot of club funds, so we can only allow paid members.
